Since October 2021 poets, essayists, novelists, and hell, even the occasional screenwriter, have all descended upon Brooklyn's premier literary open mic, Open Book NYC every third Thursday of the month. I'm biased, I know, having been involved with it since the beginning. That doesn't mean it isn't true. Alongside Open Book NYC creator Becka Olsen, I co-host the Open Book Podcast, dedicating to raising up and illuminating the most spellbinding authors on the New York scene.
Entering our third season, the Open Book Podcast brings a nip of the transient, fleeting monthly event. Bottled for later consumption, a literary podcast for those who want to plunge deeply into the motivations, origin stories, passions, insecurities, and neuroses that drive those who climb on stage to pour out their hearts and anxieties.
